I know this page is only two panels, and has a major cliff-hanger, but I assure it’s for good reason. This page (the second panel in particular) has been in my mind for a while and I didn’t wanted to spend more time concentrating on little details for this page rather than pushing another 8 panels in. Either way, I hope you like the page… pervs! :3 Just kidding.

tattoos are icky
I used to share your views on that but overtime I started to think of them as sexy providing they have a purpose on the woman’s body. Like I’m not a fan of tattoo that girls get just cos they are “cute,” rather when they are a message about who they are or more of a “scar” of who they’ve been. For example, tattoos that mark heritage or have a name of a parent, child or sibling. The best are the one’s that are their because they represent a part of them or a time of their life that they struggled to get thru and the tattoo is a representation of that… just like a battle scar… and who doesn’t think battle scars are sexy?
Either way, luckily for you Eydis only has one, and it’s hidden most of the comic. :]

I disagree. Tattoos are not icky. I mean, yea, bad tattoos are icky, or tattoos of stupid crap are icky, but tattoos in general aren’t.

…i cant really put my finger on it but this page seems different to me.
One thing that i think you may be picking up on is some of the detail I spoke of in the “notes” section under the comic. I actually textured Eydis’ skin for these two panels. Also because of the zoom on her face I accentuated some of the more feminine attributes she has, for example her eye lashes and lips. If things go as planned the comic should start taking an upward curve as far as these little added extras are going. I hope that means you like them? :]

Thanks, I spent a lot of time creating different tattoo designs for the comic. Her’s obviously being the most simplistic I wanted it to still be interesting and have the overall aesthetic of the rest of the comic, so I’m glad you like the way it came out. :]

He doesn’t have a name, at least one that I’ve given him… It seems that some of the other readers have collectively decided to call him Bob; not a name I officially give him but works till I come up with a name for him.

Yeah, I’m sure the style that I’m designing certain things wouldn’t work for everyone. Overall I’m going for a more gothic aesthetic so it would probably be more appealing for that demographic. Though, not being gothic myself, I’m really into the style so.. it’s hard to say.

first off, you are looking at her from her backside, so what part of the boob that you are seeing is the back half of a side-boob. Nipples don’t rest on the side of boobs to they?

haha, I hope that it’s not TOO obvious that I’m still deciding exactly how i want her to look. I mean for the most part I know, but I don’t want to be closed minded to her changing as I get better artistically. If that makes sense?

Hey, I kind of discovered the comic last night and went through it like 2 minutes ago, but I realy enjoy the story and the way the character thinks. Besides you did a realy good job here and I love the way you drew her in the first panel, you realy went into the details. But I don’t want to be a jerk by saying this, but can it be you gave her an extra finger on her left hand (first panel)? Anyway, I’m looking forward to the updates!

LMAO! Wow.. how did I add an extra finger!?! Thank you so much for pointing that out! I would have hated putting this in to print in the next few months and later realize that she has 6 fingers! That would have been so agitating! When I get a few moments of extra time I will go in and clean that up.

I’m a bit behind, but anyway. I have my reasons for it, and now I can read several pages at once!
I don’t have an opinion about tattoos in general, but that’s one I like.
I also like what you did with her face in the second panel. I had the feeling “this looks different” (if that can be considered a feeling rather than a thought … ), the extra detail you added really looks nice. It makes her look more “mature” like some readers said, but also more realisitic in a way.

Honestly, I find myself doing the same thing… The fact that I have to draw so often, i fall behind on other peoples webcomics all the time and then have to do a full day of just reading other peoples comics to catch up more than I’d like. I’m glad you’re still on board with the comic, hope all is well in life. :]
