I realized a few of those things that you pointed out once I was done drawing and coloring it, but eventually came to the conclusion that since its technically a "cartoon," often characters will have elongated features to accentuate them. Anime for instance always makes the women's torso to short, boobs too big, and legs to long. So I figured I was still in the green with this drawing. The pages that follow actually make the my characters look a bit more like what you see in the header. Also, I wasn't used to drawing on such a large piece of paper. This page is actually the absolute first time i ever drew on a few 11x17 piece of Bristol board.
